Eamon Nancarrow

before the little lion…

‘Liono, the little lion who loves flowers’ is the second book from Belfast author Eamon Nancarrow.

His debut was ‘Holywood Star: the life and times of a rock and roll misadventurer’ which is billed as a ”crazy rock ‘n’ roll tour-de-farce” and banned from some bedrooms due to the amount of laughter it provoked from the reader.

The cause of this merriment is Eamon’s brilliant recounting of his attempts to make it as a rock singer, the misadventures he has and the calamitous characters he befriends. Although he never makes it by the end you are a true fan, almost a friend.

After completing Holywood Star, Eamon wanted to get his literary teeth into something different and suggested to his young son Teelin that together they could bring Liono’s adventures to life. Teelin has a gift for drawing and added to Eamon’s ability to tell a great story they have created an adventure that brings to the reader a little lesson about life.

Liono is already receiving interest from schools and educators due to the subjects the book covers and the humorous way that Eamon has approached them.

Eamon lives in Belfast with partner Donna and children Teelin, Tara and Shane. Currently a health protection nurse for the Public Health Agency and also the singer with the rock band Strictly No Ballroom.
